Diversity of the School
I visited to a Khon Kaen University Demonstration School International Division from February 2th to 28th in 2026.
The school has a very diverse team of teachers from countries like Spain, Ukraine, Indonesia, China, Myanmar, Morocco and so on.
Thus, all teachers can speak English and students study various foreign languages like Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish in English.
Students of Grade 1 to 9 study together.
Class Example(Grade 4)
Morning Assembly
In the morning, they have a morning assembly in Thai style such as looking at the Thai national flag raising, singing the national anthem, and putting their hands together and reciting Buddhist prayers.
From this, I realized that while it incorporates Western-style classes and curriculum, it also values Thai culture and customs.
After the assembly, they have a HomeRoom and start classes.
School Meals
What one of the amazing things is School Meals.
After 4th period, Grade 1 to 9 students gather and eat school lunch. School lunches often featured traditional Thai dishes like Khao Man Gai and Pad Kra Pao. Every time, they have salads or soup, and fruits. Moreover, you could choose whether you wanted the chicken spicy or sweet.
The meals were well-balanced, and since you could have seconds as many times as you wanted, I always really looked forward to lunchtime and eat 2 or more times!!
